Job Description
 
The Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruiting; recruiting, screening and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods, both internal and external. This position must possess considerable skill in screening and interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all position functions in the company and a thorough understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure, federal and state laws and local employment-related ordinances regarding employment practices.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of Recruiting experience, will possess strong follow up skills and works well in a team environment.

The starting rate for this position is $15 an hour.
 
Essential Functions
  • Strong skills in positive associate engagement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and oral presentation.
  • Adept at using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, Applicant Tracking System (preferably CATS), and time keeping software
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior management.
  • Good business acumen and strong problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility and drive.
  • Strong internal customer service orientation; associate advocate.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Meet with directors and/or hiring managers to develop specific recruiting plans for their department
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
  • Schedule and attend job/career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.
  • Provide information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.
  • Manage job postings.
  • Screen and refer qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing. Provide initial screening to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements.
  • Conduct reference and background checks.
  • Extend verbal and written conditional job offers, as directed.
  • Conduct new hire processing meetings; ensure that required paperwork is signed and distributed accordingly.
  • Provide reports, as requested.
  • In conjunction with the Executive Director, develop and conduct training programs for managers with a goal of improving recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reducing turnover.
  • Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, and mandatory in-services as approved or required.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as may be directed.
